2: Using Formulas

About this course

Course 2 in the Business Analyst eLearning Path

Description

Implementers of ThoughtSpot will spend a lot of their time during deployment making sure the right data columns exist for your particular use case. For example, they will need to verify that the right attribute and measure columns are available to end users, so they can ask the questions they want of the data.

However, sometimes a use case comes up where there is no data stored in a way that supports that use case. Formulas in ThoughtSpot can help create new searchable criteria for users that isn't inherently available in the raw data. Formulas allow you to create virtual attributes and measures, constructed from existing columns or combinations of columns of data. This course covers formula creation in ThoughtSpot.
